Change a page's words or photos

Pages are static pages. You can change what is on them; the layout itself belongs to the site manager.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open the page from the Pages list.
  2. Click any text to change it. Double-click a photo to replace it, and fill in its alt text. Select a link or button to change where it goes.
  3. Check the phone view with the device buttons at the top.
  4. Publish the site. Page edits only go online with a whole-site publish (how publishing works).
Screen recording, about 30 seconds: open the Walk-a-Thon page, change one sentence, replace a photo and type its alt text, switch to the phone view, then open the Publish menu.

What needs the site manager

Adding a new section, a new page or a menu item is layout work in the Designer. The shared login can do it, but by team agreement only the site manager does. For a new page, the site manager duplicates the most similar page and you change the words. Each new page also counts toward the plan's limit of 300 static pages.

If you change a page's SEO title or description in its page settings, that also needs a whole-site publish to go online.

Webflow's own guide, for the general idea: Edit site content as a content editor. It is not about this site, so where it differs, follow this page.

Updated Oct 28, 2026. If a screen looks different from these steps, trust the screen and tell the site manager so the handbook can be fixed.
